Pete Townshend rocks 'The Tonight Show'

Pete Townshend made a splash in New York City ahead of the Broadway premiere of "The Who's Tommy - The Musical". On Tuesday night, he graced The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with a memorable performance. Joined by the cast, Townshend delivered a medley of iconic hits: "Pinball Wizard," "See Me, Feel Me," and "Listening To You."

During his chat with Fallon, Townshend delved into the creative process behind the rock opera, which served as the basis for the musical. He also touched on the band's fourth album, their formation, and the enigmatic Roger Daltrey. Townshend also revealed that as a kid, he was scared of Daltrey, emphasizing just how tough the lead singer was.

And, no Townshend interview would be complete without a nod to his signature move: smashing guitars on stage.
