Aerosmith new music?

The future of Aerosmith's recording career remains uncertain, with different band members providing varying perspectives. Last year, Joe Perry was primarily focused on archival reissues. Perry recently shared that he and Steven Tyler have been discussing the possibility of recording new music. They've been listening to their catalog and different versions of their songs, drawing inspiration from Jimmy Page's approach to revisiting the Led Zeppelin catalog.

Perry recently told Rock Candy magazine that there's definitely a possibility of Aerosmith recording again. He revealed that Tyler has some material ready and is writing for a new Hollywood Vampires album. However, their immediate plan is to remix some of Aerosmith's early work and explore interesting outtakes, which they find enjoyable.

However, guitarist Brad Whitford expressed skepticism about the band recording again last year. He proposed a plan to the band six or seven years ago to book a studio for a day with the sole aim of creating a song and a demo. He seemed indifferent to whether Tyler would sing or not. We’ll keep you posted.
