Styx will release a new album this spring

Just before Styx set sail for Miami to board the Rock Legends Cruise, they wrapped up the final song for their new album. In a Q&A session onboard the cruise with Premiere Radio's Sal Cirrincione, Tommy Shaw revealed that the album is titled "Circling From Above" and is set to be released in late May. This timing is perfect as it coincides with the start of their Brotherhood of Rock tour on May 28th in Greenville, South Carolina, where they'll be joined by the Kevin Cronin Band and special guest, former Eagles guitarist Don Felder.

Tommy Shaw shared his excitement about the new album, saying, "It's mixed. It goes down the line now to go through the process of becoming an album. That just takes a little while, but the hard part is done and we are thrilled. Can't wait!" This will be Styx's 18th studio album and their third since 2017, following their last release, "Crash of the Crown," in 2021. Shaw also mentioned that while the new album has a fresh sound, it still retains the classic Styx vibe that fans love.
