Stevie Nicks gets real with her fans about recovery

Stevie Nicks has certainly had her ups and downs this year. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer admitted recently that she wasn’t sure she’d ever make it back onstage again after fracturing her shoulder over the summer.

Stevie said, “For a long time it was really over.” Then Stevie realized it was really about her legions of fans. She said, “Because of you, I said to myself, ‘Well, I’m not gonna deal with this well, so I’m gonna have to just get well.’ Because I can’t do this. I can’t be away from my people.” Stevie’s been rocking the road this fall.

She admitted the long road back to performing wasn’t easy. “It doesn’t matter because the more it hurts, the more you know it’s getting better,” she told a crowd of her adoring fans.  Stevie added, “I am bringing the best shoulder I can to you tonight.” Stevie is down to her last few shows, wrapping up with a grand finale on December 10th in Hollywood, Florida. Stevie Nicks’s career has been a long road of ups an downs for decades. These shows this fall have been a real testament to our grit and resilience.

This year also so a bit of a thaw between Stevie and Lindsey Buckingham. The two recently reconnected after the re-release of their 1973 'Buckingham Nicks' album to reminisce about their decades performing together. There will probably never be a Fleetwood Mac reunion, but it's good to see these music legends talking again after all this time.
