Dave Grohl Reveals Why He Doesn't Have Personal Social Media Accounts

Dave Grohl is always doing something interesting — whether its performing with his daughter or making an appearance on Sesame Street — and fans would be beyond thrilled if he had his own social media accounts, so why doesn't he?

During a recent visit to Whitney Cummings' Good For You podcast, the Foo Fighters frontman addressed his lack of socials. The conversation began when Cummings suggested he get his own podcast, to which Grohl admitted he tries “to hide from the world a lot.”

"Is social media your nightmare?" the host asked.

“Well, I understand that it can be useful when you want people to know stuff,” he explained. “So, like, if we make a song, then if we put it on there, then people will know we have a new song. But I don’t necessarily feel the need to tell everyone when I’m taking a shit or whatever. But I get it – I understand why people would. But it’s not really my thing.”

Though he doesn't have personal accounts, Grohl does post on FF's socials from time to time. Most recently, he penned a sweet message to a disabled fan who filmed a documentary about meeting the band during the Sziget Festival over the summer.
