THE WHO: Legendary rock 'n roll star Roger Daltry is 73 today
Anyone who grew up in the 70's knows the sound and style of one of the greatest rock bands of all time, The Who. The band was formed back in 1964 and consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Roger Daltry, singer Pete Townshend and legendary members like John Entwhistle, Keith Moon, Doug Sandom and Kenney Jones.
Along with Led Zeppelin, The Who came to define the album rock sound that emerged in the 70's. You didn't just buy a Who album for the singles you heard on the radio, you bought the album to hear every single track.
The Who is also known for being pioneers of rock opera with Tommy, which was turned into a film in 1975. Listen as BIG 95 KBGO salutes The Who on Roger Daltry's 73rd birthday.
