David Cassidy's remains have yet to be buried.
TMZ quotes a former Cassidy girlfriend, Maura Rossi, who wonders if David "has already been forgotten by his family," who have let "his ashes sit in storage."
There appears to be a reasonable explanation for that. The passionate horse racing fan wanted his ashes scattered at Saratoga, the upstate New York track where he'd run several horses over the years and attended the races every summer. But Saratoga is only open for five weeks during late July and August -- and this year's schedule includes a David Cassidy Memorial Race on August 18th.
Don't be surprised if David's ashes are brought to Saratoga for that occasion and buried or scattered.
