The Rascals' Gene Cornish collapses on stage

Rascals guitarist Gene Cornish collapsed during Friday night's show in Billings, Montana.

According to the Billings Gazette, the band had completed their first song, "Beautiful Morning," at the Alberta Bair Theater when Gene took ill. He was quickly revived by medical personnel on hand and taken to a nearby hospital.

The show was canceled.

Felix Cavaliere told us this morning that Gene "seems to be OK. [A] pacemaker will be put in... He will make it."

He also posted on Facebook, "We ask for continued prayers for Gene. He is at the hospital and receiving the best medical care. We thank all the fans that were with us tonight, as well as the amazing staff at Alberta Bair Theater and first responders."  Gene Cornish is 74.
