Rod Stewart and Bonnie Tyler get together

When it comes to raspy singers, the handful that come to mind are Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, Brian Johnson and Bonnie Tyler. And the two blondes in that bunch, Stewart and Tyler, recently got together.

Bonnie tells Portugal's Kiss FM, “We’ve done one duet and it’s awesome.”

She says it came about while she was having dinner with Cliff Richard in Barbados. "Rod Stewart’s best friend was there and I said ‘I’d love to record with Rod.’ He said, ‘Why don’t you send me an E-mail, address it to Rod, and I’ll pass it on.’ And he said yes!”

The still-untitled album will be released in March.

Stewart is no strange to Bonnie's music, having covered her hit “It’s a Heartache” for his 2006 covers album, Still the Same.
