The Rascals' Gene Cornish resting comfortably after collapsing

Rascals guitarist Gene Cornish is resting comfortably in a Billings, Montana hospital after collapsing on stage there Friday night.

After Felix Cavaliere told us his bandmate would need a pacemaker, a publicist for the band says Gene is in "good spirits" and "on the path to a speedy recovery.”

She also says he wants "everyone to know that he so appreciates the prayers and well-wishes.”

The 74-year old Cornish is expected to be released Wednesday.
