Nile Rodgers says David Bowie caught him off guard when they started working together.
Nile tells Entertainment Weekly, "When we met, he said, 'I want you to make hits!' And I said, 'Huh? You’re coming off of Scary Monsters and you want me to make hits?'" The collaboration paid off with "Let's Dance."
Years later, Bowie offered up an impressive compliment to Rogers, telling him, "Let’s Dance is a Nile Rodgers album with David Bowie singing."
Nile Rodgers just released his seventh album with Chic, It's About Time.
