Ringo, Yoko and Jeff Bridges headline John Lennon bus event

Ringo Starr, Jeff Bridges and noted rock and roll photographer Henry Diltz joined Yoko Ono Thursday morning to honor the legacy of John Lennon.

With the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus parked near New York's City Hall, the four took places on an outdoor bed to evoke 1969's Bed-In for Peace. They were surrounded by local schoolchildren advocating for music and arts programs -- singing such Lennon anthems as "Give Peace a Chance."

The non-profit state-of-the-art mobile audio-video recording facility provides hands-on experiences for students of all ages. Now in its 21st year, the Lennon Bus travels across the U.S. and Canada year-round, providing free tours and workshops at schools and commercial events.
