Go-Go's reunite for a new recording

The Go-Go's have reunited for a new recording.

Charlotte Caffey, Belinda Carlisle, Gina Schock, Kathy Valentine and Jane Wiedlin recorded a new version of "This Town," during their first session in 17 years. The new recording will be a bonus track on the Head Over Heels Broadway cast album.

"This Town," written by Charlotte and Jane, originally appeared on the band's debut album, 1981's Beauty and the Beat.

While the cast headed by stage veterans Jeremy Kushnier, Rachel York and Bonnie Milligan handle such classics as "We Got the Beat," "Vacation" and "Our Lips Are Sealed," the actual Go-Go's add their voices to help promote Broadway's poorest drawing play. Last week, despite a slight rise in business, the show still played to half-empty houses.

The album will be out digitally on October 12th and in physical formats November 9th. (Playbill)
