Legendary producer Giorgio Moroder is hitting the road. The 78-year-old, who's worked with everyone from David Bowie to Donna Summer to Daft Punk to Sia, will kick off his first-ever live tour starting April 1st in Birmingham, England.
“I'm excited to be finally doing this," Moroder tells “The Guardian.” “It is something I have always wanted to do…Back in the day, it was unthinkable for producers to ever leave their studios -- that territory was reserved for the singers. Today, DJs and music producers have become the superstars of popular dance music, so the time feels right."
The tour is set to run through May 22nd in Paris. So far no U.S. dates have been announced.
