Sting won't roll out red carpet in Russia and Ukraine

Sting is not showing any love to VIPs when he performs in Russia and Ukraine next month.

Promoter Ivan Gomelsky says, "Sting said that if there are VIP zones, he won't perform. He doesn't want to see any lounges or couches, he wants to see a fan zone for which people won't have to pay too much."

And Vladimir Burtsey, the promoter of the Ukraine show, says, "One of Sting's main demands is that he wants to see his fans from the stage. He wants to sing and dance with them to reggae tunes and to create positive vibes. So, the artist's management asked us in advance to make sure that no couches or tables are close to the scene during the show."

These shows are with reggae artist Shaggy. We'll see how well the music translates to the Russian and Ukrainian fans.
