The Cher Show hasn't officially opened on Broadway, but by one measure, it's already a hit.
The bio-musical, which officially opens on December 3rd, had a strong first week of preview performances. It took in just over $1 million, and played to 95-pecent capacity. That's considerably more than the $761,000 pulled in by the long-running Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
By comparison, Broadway's number-one show Hamilton, sold nearly $3 million of tickets for the week ending Sunday. (Broadway.com)
