Cher made a surprise visit to Broadway's The Cher Show last week.
The New York Post's Page Six reports that she took time off between her own Las Vegas performances to check out the production, which is in previews at the Neil Simon Theater before its December 3rd opening.
The paper quotes her telling the cast, “It’s hard to see your life portrayed onstage, but I couldn’t have asked for a better cast to portray my life.” She also praised the physique of Jarrod Spector, who plays the late Sonny Bono, saying, "Sonny was in good shape, but not as good as you.”
She tells Elle magazine that she was approached with the idea for The Cher Show over a decade ago, but the "script was terrible." She's continued to work with the writers on the script, because "I’m fussy ’cause it’s my story. I want it to be honest and right and funny and sad, like my life.”
