Micky Dolenz isn't bothered by The Monkees being left out of Rock Hall

Micky Dolenz isn't upset that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame continues to ignore The Monkees.

He tells Billboard, "I don't want to sound flippant, but I never cared one way or the other about that -- or about frankly any other accolades or awards."

That said, Dolenz is touched by Monkees fans who have started petition drives and written letters. "That kind of devotion is as good as getting in really."

But one honor does make him smile. "My greatest thrill was winning an Emmy in '66. But the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is, like, a private country club, and, 'We're not gonna let in who we don't want in our club.' It's their prerogative. So I'm not going to chase it."
