Santana will hit the road this summer to mark the 50th anniversary of their appearance at Woodstock, and the 20th anniversary of the mega-selling Supernatural album.
The Supernatural Now tour, with The Doobie Brothers opening, starts on June 22nd in Phoenix and runs through August 25th in the New York City suburb of Wantagh, New York.
The tour will make a stop at Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas on Saturday, July 6th.
Carlos Santana says, "Both were monumental moments in my life. Woodstock and Supernatural took me to places I never dreamed were possible. I embraced those incredible moments in my life with all my heart. Both were supreme lessons in maintaining focus, heart and integrity in every step every day and to strive to better oneself with a high standard on and off the stage. I cannot think of these two moments without thinking about Mr. Bill Graham and Mr. Clive Davis. They are two of many angels in my life that helped shape my career.”
Carlos has said he would be interested in performing at the official Woodstock 50 in Watkins Glen, New York in August, and it certainly fits into the schedule. They have Saturday, August 17th off in between dates in nearby Darien Center, New York on the 16th and Holmdel, New Jersey on the 18th.
