Beatles' 'White Album' becomes fourth highest certified record in history

Last year marked the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ “White Album,” and it just hit another big milestone. The iconic double album has earned its place as the fourth-highest certified release in United States history after achieving 24-time platinum-certified status!

Of course, the music legends are no strangers to such an honor. Their discography has 178 million certifications, making the Beatles the highest certified band in Gold and Platinum Award history. “Abbey Road” and “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club” are already past Diamond status, too.

The Top Five also includes the Eagles’ “Greatest Hits 1971-1975,” “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, Eagles “Hotel California,” Billy Joel’s“Greatest Hits Volume I & Volume II,” “Led Zeppelin” by Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd’s “The Wall.”
