The Monkees tour will go on despite the death of Peter Tork

The show will go on for The Monkees.

Andrew Sandoval, the Rhino Records executive who oversees The Monkees' tours, confirms that Micky Dolenz and Mike Nesmith will perform their scheduled shows next month -- despite the death this week of bandmate Peter Tork.

Sandoval writes on Facebook, "I am so grateful we will have this immediate chance to see and bond with the people who knew and loved Peter: his fans. And to hear the music that brought us together in the first place. I am working on a special playlist for the show and hopefully some other visuals. I really feel we need this time together to process the loss."
