R.E.M., Rush and Alice Cooper come together for a St. Jude's benefit

Over 75 musicians, actors and former athletes came together over the weekend in Palm Desert, California for Rheyneypalooza Jam, part of a fundraising weekend for the Memphis-based St. Jude's Hospital.

Participating musicians included Alice Cooper, ex-R.E.M. bassist Mike MillsRush guitarist Alex LifesonDoobie Brothers frontman Tom Johnston and former Doobies guitarist Jeff "Skunk" BaxterThe Romantics' Wally PalmarTonic's Emerson HartSixpence None the Richer's Leigh Nash, and former Chicago and Journey singers Jason Scheff and Steve Augeri.

Mike Mills was later asked by a fan on Twitter about sharing a stage with fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Lifeson. He replied, "It was amazing. Alex is a fantastic guitar player and an even better human."
