Neil Young, Peter Frampton, Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson, and more are featured in an upcoming documentary about the life and career of Randy Bachman. “Bachman” is due for release on March 26th.
During his appearance in the film, Young says that Bachman was his “biggest influence” when he was a kid. “Watching him play guitar, he had an amazing sense about the way he played,” Young explains. “And the feeling that you got when you listened to him. It was more than just chops – I hear Randy. When I see him, I hear him, and I feel him.”
The doc will chronicle everything from Bachman’s early days in Bachman Turner Overdrive and The Guess Who, serving up hits like “Takin’ Care Of Business” and “American Woman,” to now. “As one of the few legendary artists to reach No. 1 in two separate bands, Bachman reigns as one of the most prolific and legendary artists in the history of Canadian music,” says the production company in a statement.
