Jerry Lee Lewis update: Expected to make full recovery after a stroke

Jerry Lee Lewis suffered a minor stroke last month, and he seems to be making progress in his recovering. The music legend has been moved to a rehabilitation center, with his neurologist insisting he will “fully recover.”

Unfortunately Jerry Lee is still recovering so he has been forced to cancel a string of tour dates, including shows in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Alexandria, Virginia, as well as his set at New Orleans’ Jazz Fest.

Jerry Lee was also planning to record a new album beore the stroke, and his spokesperson says that’s still a go, noting, “He wants [fans] to know he can’t wait to get back onstage and into the studio to make his gospel record.”
