Neil Diamond, Earth Wind & Fire honored by Library of Congress

The Library of Congress just gave the nation's most prestigious honor to some of the most beloved pop hits of recent memory -- including Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" and Earth, Wind and Fire's "September."

Those tunes and 12 other recordings have been added to the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress, which preserves the recordings in an official setting much like the Smithsonian. This year's honorees also include Sam and Dave's "Soul Man," Curtis Mayfield's Superfly album and Cyndi Lauper's debut album, She's So Unusual.
