Madonna is upset again -- this time at an equine ban on her video set

Madonna reportedly got on her high horse when she was told she couldn't bring an actual horse onto the set of a video she was shooting at a historic palace in Portugal.

The Material Mom, who recently announced that she was moving from the country after several years living there, got permission to film a clip for "Indian Summer" at the Quinta Nova de Assunção palace in Sintra, a resort city near Lisbon. But when she trotted out the horse idea, officials balked. Madge reportedly sent an E-mail to her rep, saying, “I’ve already given a lot to this country, and when I ask for a simple favor, one which will present Portugal to the world, the answer I get is negative."

Officials say they've got nothing against Madonna, but insist it would be unsafe because the palace's wooden floor sits upon wooden beams and is “unstable, which prevents it from being used for activities that cause vibrations.” (El Pais)
