Bob Dylan to become part of the Nashville skyline

50 years ago today, April 9th, 1969, Bob Dylan released his ninth studio album, Nashville Skyline.

In 2020, he will literally become part of Music City's skyline when the Bob Dylan-affiliated Heaven’s Door distillery takes over the SoBro building, which once housed the historic Elm Street Methodist Church.

It will include a craft whiskey distillery and whiskey library, an art sanctuary, a restaurant and a 360-seat live performance venue. It also will display some of Dylan’s paintings and metalwork sculptures.

Dylan unveiled his Heaven's Door whiskey last April.

Dylan now has an Instagram page on which his staff is posting a “unique collection of rare and unseen photos and memorabilia.”
