Carole King's historic 'Live at Montreux 1973" coming in June

Carole King's historic 1973 concert at Montreux, Switzerland will be released June 14th on CD and vinyl, and in DVD/CD combo sets.

Never previously released, the show was King's first-ever outside the U.S., and features songs from her albums TapestryFantasy and Writer.

Just six weeks after performing before 100,000 in New York's Central Park, Carole played in more intimate surroundings. She told the crowd, "Usually I don’t get to see my audiences. Tonight, I’m seeing you." After five numbers where it's just Carole and her piano, she's joined by an 11-person band, including horns and woodwinds, where they play her not-yet-released album Fantasy, which is credited as a foundation for what became known as smooth jazz.

Here's a brief trailer from Live at Montreux 1973.
