Eddie Money is on the disabled list.
The "Baby Hold On" icon will undergo a minimally invasive heart valve procedure that will sideline him through mid-June.
Doctors had recommended he have it last week, but the 70-year-old did not want to let his Detroit fans down. Saturday, Eddie marked his 28th consecutive Memorial Day Weekend appearance to kick off the DTE Energy Music Theatre’s summer concert season.
But Money had trouble at another gig Sunday. After completing his set at the Ak-Chin Casino just outside Phoenix, he was unable to come out for the encore due to shortness of breath.
That convinced him it was time to have the procedure done.
With no scheduled shows until June 13th, Money is confident he won't have to cancel any dates.
