Michael Nesmith is hinting that his upcoming Australian shows with Micky Dolenz will bring down the curtain on The Monkees.
Recently on Facebook, he wrote, "The shows are fun, the songs are good and fun to play, but things are a bit long of tooth now -- not that that is a bad thing, but it’s a bit like trying to learn new dance steps."
Nez acknowledges that he's "had a good time, so does Mick, I think," but he seems more excited about Internet projects. "I like the 'Net giving me a voice. At least you all know it’s me and not some bonehead whining about how poorly I play."
The Monkees Present the Mike and Micky Show opens June 12th in Brisbane, with later stops in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. (Noise11.com)
