Bruce Springsteen's Western Stars will debut at number-two on the Billboard 200 this week, giving him the 20th Top 10 album of his career.
Springsteen falls nearly 30,000 album equivalent units shy of the chart debut of an album by another veteran performer, Madonna's Madame X, which tallied 95,000 units to grab the top spot. Billboard reports that it's the first time since 1985 that the two have occupied the number-one and -two positions simultaneously. Born in the U.S.A spent the first two weeks at number one then, before flipping with Madonna's Like a Virgin for the next two weeks of the run.
Western Stars wins this week's chart race in Great Britain, however, outselling Madame X by 25,000 units. It's Springsteen's 11th number-one album in the U.K.
