A pop culture phenomenon is headed to the big screen, even though she doesn't have a mouth to speak her lines. (If you remember, a few years ago, it was revealed she is not actually a cat, but a little girl).
Guess they will find some way to have dialogue, since New Line Cinema has tapped Lindsey Beer to write the script for 'Hello Kitty', the movie based on the cartoon feline. Beer has also written the script for the upcoming 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' film reboot.
Hello Kitty first appeared in 1974 on a coin purse and has flourished ever since. How the script will portray Hello Kitty, and what the plot might consist of, remains to be seen, and there’s no timetable for the films release yet, but rumors point to sometime at the end of next year.
