Weird Al Yankovic is touring with a full orchestra for the first time, but the show won’t feature Michael Jackson parodies...also for the first time.
Despite the fact that 'Eat It' and 'Fat' were big hits for the comedic entertainer, Weird Al decided to shelve the songs - so as not to offend anyone. He explains “[W]e just felt that with what’s happened recently with the HBO documentaries that this would be best. We didn’t want anybody to feel uncomfortable.” He adds,“I felt I had enough fan favorites in the show that I could get away with it.”
The 'Strings Attached' tour hits Nashville and South Carolina this weekend with stops in Atlanta and Ohio coming up.
