There is nothing worse than ordering breakfast and getting fewer side items, like hashbrowns, than the person in front of you. One North Carolina man is trying to put a stop to that.
Tommy Martin has filed a federal lawsuit against Hardee’s after he said one of the chain’s restaurants deprived him of his civil rights by putting too few Hash browns on his plate. “It’s not a money issue,” Martin says. “I just want to be treated fairly.”
He also believes his skin color led to him being served less of the side dish than other people would get. According to the lawsuit, a cashier attempted to correct the issue, but a manager told him he was served correctly.
Martin said the incident violated the 14th Amendment and it has now has given him cibophobia, a fear of food.
