Ringo Starr turns 79 on Sunday. As he has done for the past 10 years, he'll host a Peace & Love celebration.
For the fifth time in the last six years, it will be at the Capitol Records tower in Hollywood. At noon, your time, Ringo asks you to say or shout the words “Peace & Love.”
Just before noon at Starbucks locations in the U.S. and Canada, an announcement will alert patrons to the event. The coffee chain will spin a special playlist -- curated by Ringo -- for three weeks starting Friday.
Ringo will be joined in Hollywood on Sunday by All Starr Band alumni Sheila E., Edgar Winter, Nils Lofgren and Jim Keltner, along with Don Was, Ed Begley Jr., Richard Lewis, T-Bone Burnett and Benmont Tench.
