John Fogerty sympathizes with Taylor Swift's frustration over the sale of the label that controls her first albums.
As an artist who has endured legal battles with his record label, the Creedence Clearwater founder sees parallels with his own feud with Fantasy Records founder Saul Zaentz.
He tells Varietythat Swift is "a wonderful artist [who] deserves to be able to continue that without having a heart full of sad feelings... I sure recognize this situation. Because I’ve had that happen to me in a very similar way." He adds that he was "appalled that she really wasn’t offered the chance to buy [the albums], because her money would have been just as good as the next guy’s money."
