An airplane owner learned that his plane has a Beatles connection.
Nils Alegen has been restoring a 1960-model Caravelle jet. Recently, after removing some interior panels, he discovered a boarding pass used byJohn Lennon on a 1964 flight from Manchester, England to Paris. Adding to the story, Alegen also found a photograph of The Beatles posing on the plane's steps.
Once the renovation is complete, Alegen hopes to make the plane a "Ticket to Ride" for Beatles fans. He's thinking of using it for simulated flights, with video screens making it appear they are flying over various locations, including the New York skyline.(New York Post)
