Much of the music gear that Walter Becker used in Steely Dan will be auctioned off on October 18th and 19th in Beverly Hills, California.
Julien's Auctions says the most notable instrument in the sale is Becker’s 1957 Fender Duo-Sonic guitar that's pictured in the liner notes of Steely Dan’s 1977 album Aja. Other highlights include Becker's Signature Model #1 Sadowsky, Bacon and Day Senorita S.6 Model and his 1936 D’Angelico Excel. Most of the guitars and basses are listed between $3000 and $15,000. The auction will also include amplifiers, speaker cabinets and other recording gear.
Beck died of esophageal cancer on September 3rd, 2017.
