Terri Nunn says Berlin are interested in being part of the soundtrack for the Top Gun sequel.
While officially non-committal, the L.A. native is handling the situation less aggressively than Kenny Loggins, who's almost begging to be involved. She and her bandmates also appreciate the impact "Take My Breath Away" had on her career.
Terri says, "We're in talks at this point. They're still shooting it -- and that's always the last thing to go on is music into a movie. Whether it happens, I don't know. But, of course, we want to be part of it. It changed all of our lives."
Though Berlin is known as a band that writes its own material, the chance to work with producer Giorgio Moroder on the soundtrack was something special.
Terri Nunn says one of the highlights of recording "Take My Breath Away" was working with producer Giorgio Moroder: "I mean, Giorgio Moroder is one of the greatest writers and producers of music in our time. And he says that 'Take My Breath Away' is his best work, his greatest work."
Berlin are touring this summer, sharing many dates with The B-52s.
