A Colorado truck driver is avoiding tickets for now… by using a sports drink as his tail light.
Longmont police say they pulled over the man, a frequent oil company driver, while he was on his way to get his busted taillight fixed. The man was reportedly using a red-colored sports drink attached with duct-tape as his temporary replacement.
Cops let him go without a ticket, saying they saw him at a repair shop later that day. However, police officials warn that this type of 'ingenuity' should never be a 'permanent solution'.
