When Queen announced their first tour with Adam Lambert in 2014, Brian May explained one of his conditions for doing the tour.
"I said to Jim Beach, our manager, 'Get us Madison Square Garden, get us The Forum in L.A. and we can do this one more time,' you know."
Well, that condition still stands as together with Lambert, Queen did two shows at The Forum on their current Rhapsody Tour, and two at the Garden this week (Tuesday and Wednesday).
Following Tuesday night's show, May said, "THANKS Madison Square Garden folks. Probably Loudest in the Western World! What a thrill!" ... Nothing quite like it! Madison Square Garden is full of magic, and full of memories for me. Amazing. Who would have thought we’d be back here for two nights packed to the rafters."
Queen did 10 shows at the Garden with Freddie Mercury (three in 1977, two in '78, three in '80 and two in '82) and 12 at The Forum (three in 1977, three in '78, four in '80 and two in '82). Counting this tour, they've done three each at the Garden and Forum with Lambert.
