Nobody really likes dining alone, although today thanks to our phones and other devices, it’s easy to keep ourselves occupied if and when we have to go solo for a meal out. But at one restaurant in Mumbai, India they found a way to make that solo dining experience a little more palatable, and the Internet loves it.
Traveler Prakash Mallya recently shared a picture of a single goldfish named 'Antonio' swimming in a bowl that was brought to his table when he went out to dinner alone. “The hotel staff come by to leave this on my table as company, given I was eating alone,” he shared. “So nice & thoughtful, and something that’s never happened in all my travel thus far.”
The post has since been liked over 13,000 times and retweeted over 2,000 times, with many folks sharing their similar experiences, although some were concerned about how the fish was being cared for but the restaurant assured everyone they were indeed treated well.
