INXS: Rare EP set for vinyl release

A rare EP of INXS remixes is set to get a special vinyl release. “Dekadance,” a remix collection previously available only on cassette, was released in 1984 to celebrate the band’s critically acclaimed album “The Swing,” selling 250,000 copies. Now in celebration of the record’s 35thanniversary, “Dekadance” will be released September 6th on heavyweight 180g vinyl LP for the very first time.

“Dekadance” features six extended and re-mixed versions of songs from “The Swing,” including “I Send A Message,” “Melting In The Sun” and “Burn For You, which were remixed by Nick Launay, the Nile Rodgers remix of ‘Original Sin’, the 7-inch version of “Dancing On The Jetty’”mixed by INXS member Andrew Farriss and a rare mix of “Love Is (What I Say)” by long-time INXS producer Mark Opitz.

The album also features a bonus track, a cover of the Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazlewood duet ‘Jackson’ with Michael Hutchence singing with Jenny Morris.
