Prince's '1999' album will have three different reissues this fall

Three different reissues of Prince's album 1999 go on sale November 29th.

The album made history with classics such as “Little Red Corvette,” “1999,” and “Delirious,“ and shattering barriers by blending rock, funk, R&B and new wave pop.

Remastered for the first time, the 1999 album will be available in three different formats:

  • Super Deluxe Edition (5CD+DVD / 10LP+DVD / audio-only download and streaming)
  • Deluxe Edition (2CD / 4LP 180g vinyl / download and streaming)
  • Remastered album (1CD / 2LP 180g Purple Vinyl / download and streaming)

The Super Deluxe will generate the most buzz -- combining the audio material that Prince officially released in and around 1982, along with 23 previously unreleased studio tracks recorded between November 1981 and January 1983, and a complete live audio performance of the 1999 tour (the late show in Detroit, Michigan on November 30th, 1982). The CD and vinyl sets will also have a DVD of a second unreleased concert from the 1999 tour (at the Houston Summit on December 29th, 1982).
