Janet Jackson releases 'Rhythm Nation 1814: The Remixes' to mark 30th

Janet Jackson marks the 30th anniversary of Rhythm Nation 1814 with a digital-only release of nine historic remix mini-albums.

Released on September 19th, 1989, Rhythm Nation 1814 sold more than 12-million copies worldwide and spun off seven Top 5 singles, and countless remixes around the globe.

These mini-albums -- available today (Friday) -- contain 90 tracks, more than 80 of them genre-spanning remixes done by the most respected producers and studio mixers of the day.

Three highly sought-after non-LP tracks that were previously available only on rare single releases are also included with Rhythm Nation 1814: The Remixes: "The Skin Game," "You Need Me" and "The 1814 Megamix." "The Skin Game" appears via two separate track entries labeled Part 1 and Part 2, the latter of which is the instrumental version of the song.
