Eric Clapton fans now have a chance to get their hands on two guitars from his personal collection. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is auctioning off guitars that are reissues of ones he used in the 60s, with proceeds benefiting his Crossroads Centre for addiction.
The two guitars will go up for auction this weekend. They include a Prototype #3 for a Gibson 1964 Firebird Limited, which was a remake of a guitar he used in his Cream days, and the other is one of Fender's new 50th Anniversary Blind Faith Telecasters, a reissue based on a guitar Clapton used during Blind Faith days.
Only 100 of the Firebirds were made, with the current bid at more than $26,000, while the Fender is currently at almost $23,000. Check out the info here.
