Rod Stewart saves couples' wedding

Rod Stewart went above and beyond to save the wedding plans of a British couple.

Sharon Cook and Andrew Aitchison had planned their wedding for Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. But that arrangement went down the drain with the collapse of the giant British travel agency Thomas Cook.

Sharon and Andrew were among the 600,000 Cook customers left in the lurch -- until Caesars and the Rod stepped in to help them out. After learning of the couple's plight on social media, a Caesars employee got the resort giant to team up with Delta and fly the couple from Liverpool to Vegas, where the ceremony went on -- with a special guest.

Stewart, in the midst of his residency, stopped by the Venus Garden Chapel Tuesday night. Joined by a guitarist and a pair of string players from his Colosseum residency, he performed, “Have I Told You Lately.”

Rod even brought a gift -- a pair of tickets for the newlyweds to his Friday night show at Caesars. (Las Vegas Review Journal)
