It's no surprise to see ex-Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic call out a FOX News commentator for not knowing his music, but when he admits to loving Nickelback, well, that's news.
Last week, President Trump tweeted a meme from the Canadian group's "Photograph" video. Nickelback complained to Twitter, which took it down. That led to a debate in the House of Representatives, which got FOX News editor Chris Stirewalt -- in an attempt at humor -- to compare Nickelback to socialism. He described the band as "emo pop-ballad '90s rock." That's where Novselic came in.
He tweeted a video of the segment, asking, "Who is this jerk? Nickelback is a power pop rock band and I love them!!!" The bassist defended the "uneasy marriage between socialism and capitalism" in the U.S., saying that "there is push and pull -- so be weary (sic) of those on the fringe advocating one way or another."
