Peter Frampton brings the U.S. leg of his Finale - Farewell Tour to a close this Saturday night in Concord, California, a suburb of San Francisco, which is very significant for him. It was in Frisco and nearby San Rafael that he recorded a good part of Frampton Comes Alive.
Peter talked about the significance of ending his Finale tour this Saturday night in the San Francisco Bay Area:“ It kind of completes the circle. People are flying in from all over the world [for the show]. I'm very positive about the future, but I have to be realistic."
Frampton is retiring from touring after being diagnosed with inclusion body myositis (IBM), a progressive muscle disorder characterized by muscle inflammation, weakness and atrophy.
One dollar from every ticket sold on the tour goes to the Peter Frampton Myositis Research Fund at Johns Hopkins, which is where he is being treated.
Frampton hopes to take the tour to Europe next year.
