Two films on the band INXS will reach theaters this winter.
Live Baby Live, the Australian rockers' final concert with original frontman Michael Hutchence, will be screened as a one-night-only event in theaters on December 9th.
Lead guitarist Tim Farriss recalls the July 13th, 1991 show at Wembley Stadium in London, where they played before more than 70,000 fans:
"Just six guys playing in a stadium. We'd played Wembley Stadium twice before with Queen -- opening with Queen. And then we came into do our own live show. And we just had a few lights and big P.A. and we entertained 75,000 people, whatever it was, just with six guys and our instruments."
Farriss is very pleased with how the film -- feared lost for decades before being restored -- turned out.He credits director David Mallett for crafting an impressive film:
"And I'm really glad we spent so much money on making it, because it's a great snapshot of INXS, you know, at the peak of our career, I suppose."
